I'm getting emails lately similar to this:

Date: Thu Aug 21, 2003 10:11:27 PM US/Eastern
To: genevish@mac.com
Subject: Virus Warning

Important Information from Edith Cowan University Communications Department

The W32/Sobig-F virus was detected in attachment (movie0045.pif) in email from genevish@mac.com (08/22/03 10:11:27).

The automated Virus protection system has taken the following action to protect the email recipients computer system.

The Virus / Attachment has been: deleted

I didn't send an email to Edith Cowan University. Is the virus sending emails and saying they are from me or something? That's not a variant I had heard of. I know I'm not infected... (Or am I? Agghh! Get it off me!! ;-)

Ah, thanks for the info. I figured as much. Now if I can just get that Viagra spam to stop...
