Hi, is there a hack/trick available to display DVD Player's main window on a 2nd screen (not a mirrored screen)? One work around is using VLC for playing DVDs but it seems to have some problems decoding it (mosaics on black/dark surfaces being shown)...

I have found something in the dvd player's pref file:

<key>ViewerWindowPosition</key>
<string>-1024 0</string>

this positiones the window on my left (additional) screen. The problem is that the window is not movable anymore then. Also when I set presentation mode and click on a different (i wanna watch dvd and work) then it quits the presentation mode

Go to System Preferences -> Displays -> Arrangement

Drag the menu bar from your main screen (within the pictorial representation within the Displays panel) to the menu bar of your secondary screen.

DVD Player plays on the main screen, whatever that is set to.

Also, and some of the Panther 'testers' might confirm this, the new version of the DVD Player.app allows a preference as to which screen you want to watch movies on.

You can use VLC to do that, until we gets the panther.
