Hey,

I'm working on my next killer app. It will use WebKit again and is basically a .mac Browser. Here's a first screenshot.

This is a GREAT idea - a way to manage (graphically) your whole .mac account, I really like it - keep up the good work....

Is WebKiosk still in development?
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I'm down, I wanted to build something like that...the way I was working on it was, instead of a .mac browser, was a webpage with frames, kinda laid out the way you have it. Can't wait!

This is a good idea, but in all honesty this should be provided by Apple in the form of a web portal. I have submitted feedback on this and I get the impression that Apple will offer this type of interface soon. It might not be worth it for you to invest too much effort intot his application.

Looks good so far. Here's some constructive criticism:
-The "sources" (Email, Address Book, etc) on the bottom left corner should be in the top left corner, to be consistent with other apps.
-Perhaps a "Go to my iDisk" button next to the "open my homepage" button on the bottom to open the iDisk in the Finder.
-Is that little gray bar next to the "open my homepage" button a guage of remaining iDisk space? If not, it should be
-Since I can't see the complete "source" list, are there links to the Support pages? The My Account page? The Member Benefits page?

Good idea so far!

They sold it to their "partner" according to their homepage - however when following the link I think "partner" should be changed to "rival"

Rather than this being a stand-alone app made with WebKit, is there a way to make this as a Safari plug-in of some sort? Perhaps with a .Mac icon next to the Bookmarks icon in the toolbar?

Has Apple made Safari extensible like this at all... yet?

I reckon, they sell their own web kiosk software for $149US!! They want to 'integrate' his source code into the next version, and considering that his app basically does everything theirs does already, they will probably be just rebranding Web Kiosk 'wKiosk' and charging $149 for it.

That sucks about WebKiosk. wKiosk sucked in comparison to WebKiosk, and WebKiosk is EXPENSIVE while webKiosk was free. What I don't understand is why they would want to buy WebKiosk, a program that has been in development for only about a month. Is the wKiosk guy that desperate? I know that a lot of places were dissatisfied with his product but would it really be that difficult for him to write his own Webkit kiosk browser? And now webKiosk is no longer free. That really sucks.
