Acrobat 5.0 and Web Client Updates?

	I'm pretty inexperienced with Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and was wondering if someone could explain to me what happens when I upgrade my Web Client? Every so often, when I open Acrobat, a window pops up asking for me to check for updates. When there is a new client available, it says, successfully updated, but I don't notice any difference. Is there a need for these updates and if so, what exactly is changing? Thanks!
