Camino was starting to quit more and more (especially visiting Java sites). So anyway, I switched back to Safari and it happened tonight w/Safari!

Yipes! What has my iBook been up to? Taking lessons from my Win2k machine?

Any suggections appreciated. I did a search on this board with not a lot of luck.

I'm using 10.2.6 on an 800 iBook (12") w/640MB

Thanks.

It is always wise to try to repair your permissions if things are screwy on your machine.
If you have never done this before it is a piece of cake.
1. Go to your applications folder in your finder.
2. Find the Utilities folder inside of applications.
3. Launch the app called "disk utility" inside of the utilities folder.
4. Once it has launched select the tab that says "first aid".
5. Select your hard drive on the left and click the "repair disk permissions" button.
6. Repeat step five when it says it has repaired them.
7. Restart. (Not because you have to, but because restarting fixes problems too)

other things to check:
- empty caches...sometimes remnants in there cause odd behaviors
- create another userr account and see if all works well...if so its something in your account (pref files maybe)...
