OK... I have the original iMac 233 (upgraded to 466, 256 mbram, 160gb (2 drives). When I recently put the 24x10x24 drive in, everything works great. Burns like a mofo! However, I tried importing Meteora today and other CD's, but every one imports no more than 3x. What's the deal?

All as artificial as the Matrix itself, although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as Love.

The transition from CD tracks to a compressed format aka mp3 are mostly depended on CPU speed.

I think that's more than I have on my 600 8 mb ati iBook. I'll also assume compression level and format have a lot to say. AAC seemed to be slower than mp3 ripping for instance. (Not throughly tested but..)
