I cannot get qfx (webconnect) to work. Safari does not d/l the proper type/creater codes but even after I cnahge that I get an error in quicken on import and it will not import the file.
I get this error: "quicken is unable to verify the financial institution information for this download. please try again later." Of course trying again later makes no difference.
Any help? (BTW this is quicken2003)
Thanks!

I have Quicken 2004 and I am trying to set this up.
I download the .qfx file from Citibank and then try to import it into Quicken via the "Import We b Connect" command.
I get the same error that "Quicken cannot verify the address of the institution at this time..."
This seems pretty retarded. Since the file is located locally, why is it trying to connect to my bank?
Has anyone been able to get .qfx files to work with Quicken???

Did you have to do anything special? How did you get it to work? Which version of quicken?
Thanks!

Using Quicken Deluxe 2002. First went to the Online Menu/Enable Online Account in Quicken and enabled my Visa Account. (You only have to do this once.)
Then, with Quicken open, went to the Citibank site and downloaded current transactions (or statement). After I have started the download, I go back to Quicken, and as soon as the download is complete, a window opens in Quicken ready for me to review and import the transactions.
Hope that helps.

Wow! Thanks for that great hint! The Citibank Account Online had worked with Quicken 2004 for me until about 2 months ago. I just tried downloading the statement file in Mac IE 5.2 successfully! I also retried Safari setting the User Agent to Mac MSIE 5.22 from the Debug menu. Again, success now.
I can't see what the difference is though. I compared the resulting files and they are all the same. Simple text files with no resource forks (at least according to ResEdit) and the SAME textual data inside. Weird. Maybe something to do with a scripting result that differs between them?
But at least I have a workaround now. Thanks!
