Whenever I upload via Transmit [ftp], it always says it's "stalled". Sometimes it'll upload but VERY slow [2 KB/s] and then it'll sit back on "stalled" again ....
any clues as to the problem?
I've tried using it via PASSIVE and Not Passive [all combinations of that with the network preferences].
It might help if you specified your OS (7/8/9/X), your type of internet connection (including any routers or proxies), and whether other FTP clients upload successfully or the problem is only when using Transmit.

I'm having a similar problem with Transmit. I have no trouble with other downloads that run overnight in other programs but Transmit keeps stalling out on me. Then it will eventually say, Data timed out or something. I can restart the downloads but it's really annoying when I'm downloading entire directories overnight. Oh, I'm running OS 10.3.3 and Transmit 2.6 (I think) with no routers or proxies on a cable modem. I'm just hooking into a friend's FTP and other people (PC users all of them) have had no trouble with their friendly FTP apps. I've tried FTP via the finder and was disappointed - froze the finder. I don't really want to use the terminal but I'll give it a try if it's reliable. Sometimes I'll get a 45k/sec DL so I know it works. And I'm still connected to the FTP server when it times out. I just have to click a little button in the corner to get them going again. Is there a way to automate this so I can sleep peacefully while I download tremendous amounts of data??
