I found a site that offered a way to search their archives via Sherlock. "Sweet", I think to myself. It says "Click here", so I do. It downloads to my desktop a ".src" file. Hmmm. SheRlock Channel, I guess.

So, I go into Sherlock and try to figure out how to load that .src file in so that a new channel appears. I find nothing about adding channels, importing anything, or anything related to .src files... Sherlock Help doesn't help, either. Hmmmph.

So, I try using Sherlock to visit the site where I found those download links, hoping if I download from there that Sherlock might intervene and take care of things. No such luck... just another copy of a .src file on my desktop.

So, here I am with no idea how to get a .src file incorporated into Sherlock. Any guidance?" Thanks!

It sounds like it is a Sherlock 2 channel which isn't compatible with Jaguar's Sherlock 3.

I know os 9 used a plugin architecture- it could be possible that os x does too. A brief look suggests that in the Sherlock.app package suggests that the channels are the same- they go there- but im not sure.

There's a converter app somewhere, possibly in the SDK?

Sherlock 3 URLs don't end in .src
They are actually a different protocal (It'll say sherlock:URLhere.xml I believe)
