Can anyone confirm that the HP LaserJet 1000 driver works in X?

I have been poring over HP's website and it is vague. No luck with gimp print either.
Any help?

A LaserJet 1000 will only work with Windows, drivers for a LJ 1200 can be downloaded from HP's website.
Both information can be easily found there, ya think I can start a small business finding such info on websites for other people? I can start right now and charge you $5 each for the exact links

Thanks for the replies.
I am picking it up today, so I will let you know if the default "hp" drivers work.
Too good of a deal to pass up.

This sort of sucks. It is this close to working (holds hands very close together)
check out this pic:

It even says that it is printing, but the printer just sits there.
I am using GIMP for the drivers.
Any other suggestions?
