and, no, there's nothing about anybody being stupid enough to try to write a word processor using a database app or write a spreadsheet using something as slow as FMP.
But I think FMI has the right idea... pick some fundamental database apps that can be a showpiece for what FMP is capable of and do them up right, and get them in the hands of decision makers. But to make that really work, they should provide app extensibility... but that may require FMPv7. But that's probably my wishful thinking.
In any case, its always good for a software company when it is forced to eat its own $#!t, err dogfood.
