when I am in Excel 98 the application crashes when I go to Print Preview, and then use the scrollbutton.

It's a painful bug because a lot of work was lost this way.

This concerns Excel 98 on all types of macintosh I could get my hands on (: lots)

Are you talking about OS 9 in the OS X Software forum?

I take it you are running this through Classic, correct? If so, see if the problem persists when booted into OS 9....

Sorry
Ignore the argumentative nature of this poster. He is old and can't engage in meaningful dialog
very long. Therefore, management asks that you at least humor him. Thanks.

This is the Software forum, not the OS X Software forum. It was changed about a year ago I think.

Upgrade to Office 2001. Office 98 can sometimes be kinda buggy on later releases of OS 9.

Thanks, but that would involve 100 new licenses for 2001
I just want to solve the problem, not make MS a few extra bucks. I found out it doesn't make any difference to use Mouseware or USB Overdrive.

Please stick to what I've got. I can't upgrade to OSx or 2001. It must be solved using current hardware and Office 98.

I assume you have installed all the updates for Office98 from the mactopia website.

If you have, does the problem persist if you switch back to the Apple supplied mouse (and turn off the various third party mouse drivers you are using)?
