If I buy used software such as Photoshop 6 and Illustrator 5.5, with full documentation, can I get the upgrade prices for Photoshop 7 and the latest Illustrator?

Yes- Ithink its v4 is the earliest for Photoshop, and 5.5 for Illustrator (not 100% on the Illustrator though)- but I'd wait a month or so- Adobe are releasing PS8 and AI11 very soon. There is also a package coming out that is 'Creative Suite' which is ps 8, ai 11, and indesign 3, which is probably cheaper than the upgrades for all 3 together, plus the price for the older software.

Yeah, I'd wait for several months too.

Photoshop 7 was out at January so probably Photoshop 8 will be out at that same month.

What gets me is that since I have been buying Adobe upgrade
CD's only - I have no way of installing directly in OSX only by
starting the process in good old niner-land.

I rid myself of OS9 on my macs for a while now
- but have not yet needed a reinstall - was waiting for
10.3 or a disaster...

Anyone have this dilemma - found a solution !

Thanks for the advice. :-) I'll wait a month or two as the shop that has the software tells me it's been sitting there for over 6 months.
