hey all! anyway, i have two simple questions:
*is it possible to make an album in iPhoto 'private'? either by having a password, hiding it, or something so that some photos can remain private.
*with dvd player, when playing a widescreen movie (properly movie widescreen, not widescreen like widescreen tvs) is is possible to have the picture fill the screen so that the ends are lopped off? cos i was anticipating my widescreen 15" powerbook with pleasure for watching movies, but the pictures tiny with 'proper' widescreen.
thanks in advance for any help!

2) Why would you want to cut off part of the movie? That's like buying a painting that doesn't fit into your frame, then making an enlargement and chopping off the sides to get it to fit.

The general DVD answer is "no", but many rentals come in a cropped version. Check out a rental place near you to see what I mean.
Enjoy.

Actually, you can do this.
Turn on Zoom from the Universal Access system preference pane, then with your DVD movie playing, zoom in until the picture is the way you like it. You can pan the picture around with the mouse as well. Give it a try. Works reasonably well.
