Hello,
Well, I just have one simple question about the .Mac account. Well, I think my .Mac account will expire in March of next year, so what happens when that month is closing in? Does Apple sent you a e-mail letting you know that your account is about to expire? So than do we just go out and buy another .Mac software at the store?
Thanks for your help...
Ming
p.s. yea... that's more than one question, sorry

You will receive an e-mail like this from Apple a few months before your account will expire....they'll give you the chance to "Auto-Renew"....and as you will see, throw in some fun little perks!
----------------------
Dear XXXX,
You were among the first to join .Mac, and we thank you for being a part of our first year. We introduced .Mac in July 2002 as the set of Internet essentials for your Mac, giving you tools to share, protect, and access your important data. Since then we've made enhancements to every major service and introduced new ones like .Mac Address Book with built-in syncing. We've also provided access to over US$150 worth of additional member benefits, such as award-winning Mac OS X Jaguar training. And there's much more to come.
Your membership is scheduled to expire on October 11, 2003 PDT, and we hope you have already decided to continue your service when the time comes. To make sure that happens, click here, log into your Account Page and click the Credit Card Info page to enter your up-to-date credit card information and check the Auto Renew option. Your card won't be charged until your current subscription expires.
Soon, you'll also get to choose from a suite of exclusive .Mac renewal gifts, such as a free copy of the brand-new Macintosh edition on DVD of Everquest* (US$49.95 value)! Thank you again and we look forward to another year with you.

Right next door to Schaumburg, IL....a northwest suburb of Chicago.
S'burg was in the news today for their local iBook 1 to 1 deployment of iBooks to every 4th, 5th, and 6th grader (and respective teacher) within their district...

And I'm guessing that Hoffan used to own all of the land which is now Hoffman Estates city. wow... that's one rich ass person, because that's a lot of land.

I just got my email this morning. Sims, EverQuest or $20 off my next Apple Store purchase.
If Panther ships while my $20 coupon is still valid then a Panther discount it is!
If not, it's still $20 off something.

That would be great, too bad my account doesn't expire until March 2004.

I would check your .Mac account settings now - it could be that you have it set-up to auto-renew anyway (there is a check box for this... under your credit card details IIRC). FWIW, if you have it set-up to auto-renew, you still get sent the e-mail about selecting your free gift.
