What the hell is wrong with Macromedia? This really pisses me off. I have a beautiful OS and I have to sit here and and look at this ugly ass GUI. WHY? Why didnt they make the MAC version of Flash blend more with OSX? I cant believe it. These ugly buttons and scroll bars. I feel like Im working in XP and its killing me.

Other than that the app truly rocks!

1. Mac is not an acronym.

2. Screenshots?
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

They're absolutely ****ing ignorant. I'll send another email to them about this.

Unless they improved the interface, Macromedia does not deserve a money from me.

You are absolutely right. I feel like boycotting Flash. Idiots.

Flash MX 2003 hasn't got the Windows gui (that would be an improvement). The XP gui does a single window with 'panes' thing that I usually hate but works well with this app.
If you want to compare the 2 have a look at The Flash Feature tour. the Mac interface is on the 'Integrating rich media' 'Improved Performance' & the 'Slides' Items , the Windows Interface is on most of the others.

Dude have you used the version released today? It totally has Xp like elements. The OK and Cancel buttons are XP like. the scroll bars and arrows are XP like. The Icons in teh whole app have an XP feel. Its horrible.

Why couldnt they use AQUA like they are suppose to? I wonder if Jobs is flipping out. I would if I was him!

OH GOD! THE HORROR! THE BUTTONS RESEMBLE XP...

...whatever.

When I am in Flash I am creating .fla's, not getting all-a-gid or bent-up over the buttons.

Could it be more 'mac-like' in UI... yes.

Would it be a visual improvement...sure

Is it even remotely a reason to freak out, rant and swear off of it as a tool in your workflow... um, no

Chill peeps...

It is bothersome to me not only because it's ugly but because that interface does not work as people expected them to do. Lot of interface glitches that should never be in final product.

I do care because it's an app I see/work with everyday.

Don't tell me that I need to chill out

I think they are going on about the prefabbed UI Components (cmd-F7)....which has nothing to do with the Flash UI... but the UI of .fla's built with MM widgets

They aren't XP... they aren't Aqua.. they are just widgets pre-built by MM for the app and speedy development.

Best example of them is in the Feature Tours of the products on MMs site.

No... they make it sound as though all of FLASH has a XP UI and it isn't the case.

Actually, most of the UI look is based off their web design look and feel. I particularly LOVE MX 04 and my copy should be on my doorstep soon. Can't wait!

They could make the WHOLE app feel like I'm using an AMIGA and I'd STILL buy it, the alternatives pale in comparison to what all I can do in DW.

I don't think it looks bad at all and if I had the money to buy it I would definitely pick it up. I would still use it if it looked like a bag of dog poo..
