Hi,

We are househunting at the moment and I'm saving lots of details of properties, including jpg images.

Mozilla 1.5b is suddenly adding .jfif to all saved jpgs. The name then becomes <house10.jpg.jfif>.

This is a major pain. Aparently jfif should be synonymous with jpg but most apps don't like this suffix.

How can I stop this behaviour?

Thanks! :-)

Just a guess, but maybe try going into the preferences underNavigator/Helper Applications and see if you can set a helper app to just use the .jpg extension.

Delet,

I had a look there but there's nothing obvious I can change. I don't really think it's about a helper application as Moz can view a jpg itself. It's just this weird behaviour when saving...

I've had to go back to 1.4 for now.

VEGAN,

:-)) Sure but it's a pain to do twenty or thirty times in a row.

Downgrading to 1.4 fixes it.
