I want an emulator that will run PAL psx games from the disk on my mac. I have a ps2, but i dont wanna have to go in the other room all the time to play games. So does any one know of a decnt playstation emulator for osx?

Flarestorm is the only one currently in development.

It is VERY good for how early it is in the prosess of being made.

But remember:

1. You can't ask for PSX BIOS on these forums.
2. You can't ask for the BIOS location that Flarestorm asks for, if you ripped your own, then you will know it.

i think i tried flare storm, no idea what the bios thingy was, i dont want to play downloaded games, i just wanna play the games ive legal bought, but i understand if you cant say anymore, thx alot.

Flarestorm 2.0 will be released sometime before the end of the year. It will have full (or near-full) BIOS emulation meaning you won't need to get a BIOS dump from your PSX or download it from the net.

If you can tough a month or two, you'll have a pretty decent PSX emu.

thx guys, i got it working, but the graphics are realy dodgy and im out of my depth in options an addresses, ill wait untill the new version comes out i think. but thanks alot for the help

Yeah, it plays some games real well right now, and others not at all.

I know FFVII FFVIII and FFIX work ok.

hmmm i tried tomb raider 3 and final fantasy VI neither worked well tho, ill try ff7.

:s the sound is still jumpy on the psx load up bits and the game doesnt load... think ill just get the real psx out
