Freeway is a truely underrated Mac application. It's every bit as powerfull as either DreamWeaver or GoLive, yet it's the only webdesign program that is truely WYSIWYG.

Combine it with the 2 new FAST (Freeway Advanced Site Tools) packs and you'll wonder how you've ever been able to work without it!

Another plus is the offer amazing support!!

(sorry for the positive rant, but I've been a fan since version 1)

Freeway is a bit different than Dreamweaver. It's an HTML generator rather than an HTML editor, allowing it to be a lot more efficient and flexible in a lot of circumstances.

However, it is very much a one-stop solution, meaning your entire site will be a single Freeway document (although it is possible for you to split up a site into some smaller modules for different sections). If you're a one man operation, you'll probably find yourself more productive with it.

It'd help if you explained the angle you are approaching this from: are you a graphic designer, a web application coder, or what? What sort of sites are you looking at?

In any case, you can download a free 30-day trial from the web-site. I think you can download a trial of DWMX from the Macromedia site, too. Run through the basic tutorials in both, and see which you prefer. I think you'll find Freeway's learning curve much more friendly

(Disclaimer: I have an @softpress.com e-mail address)
