Industry First Real-time 4K Color Effects Solution Debuts at IBC2003
Silicon Color(R) Inc. today announced the introduction of real-time 4K and 2K resolution color effects systems to the media industry at the 2003 International Broadcasting Convention (IBC) in Amsterdam. The affordable systems feature Silicon Color's FinalTouch(R) color correction software built from the ground up on patented RACE(TM) technology and will be on display at IBC in Hall 7, stand 810, at Amsterdam RAI from Sept. 12-16, 2003.
High-end post-production companies will be able to process infinite color effects in real-time at a resolution of 4K (4096 x 3112) or 2K (2048 x 1556) when running Silicon Color's Final Touch color effects software on a Silicon Graphics(R) Onyx4(TM) UltimateVision(TM) visualization system or 2K (2048 x 1556) on a Macintosh G5(TM) system. The FinalTouch solution provides more than 30 color nodes to be applied simultaneously to original film scans to create real-time color corrections, effects and grades.
