When I was using OS 8.6 I had Key Quencer setup to move the front window to the second monitor.

I would press a key and the window wold jump to the second screen.

I would really like to be able to have something like this on 10.2.6 and beyond.

I have heard of QuicKeys X, but it seems overly complex and rather expensive...

I don't think the API to move/manipulate other program's windows is documented by Apple, which makes it harder for someone to achieve, although it is obviously possible. Perhaps you could make a feature request to the developers of one of the workspace management programs like Workspaces or DesktopManager.

You can use AppleScript to set the bounds of windows (Assuming the App is AppleScriptable.)

That wouldn't work on a system-wide basis.
I would need to specify which application and which window I wanted the script to act on.

So I would wind up with separate scripts for each application...
