Opening AppleWorks 6 on my PB has recently begun to take 2-3 times longer than normal. The application has also unexpectedly quit on several occasions.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to what could be causing this? Would reinstalling the application be in order?

Reinstalling it would be no problem, but I am still interested in troubleshooting the cause for future reference.

I am doing research on a problem with Appleworks, that involves speedloss. I think that when it starts up, the TAB "recent Items" just keeps on filling with old documents and might reach a critical limit when it takes up all the appleworks memoryspace.
