Only problem I've had with MSN Messenger is that sometimes when I quite the thing it will remain in memory consuming 80%-90% of CPU. I'll only realise this when, a few minutes later, my PowerBook's fan kicks in at high speed for no reason. Jumping into the cli and running top shows the msn messenger process consuming all my resources - a simple kill solves that though

I've had no problem with this at all, and I have it on running and signed on 24/7.

In the latest version file sharing is quite reliable. I use it on and off. I wish they could integrate video though...

Tell me about it. Last week a friend using their Windows version tries to establish a video session with me - my OSX MSN Messenger pops up a prompt saying that I need to download a new version in order to carry out the video hookup, so I follow the link and end up at the download for the NON-VIDEO OSX version... wha?!?

It doesn't suck, but it does not have all the fancy stuff like the PC version has.

AIM doesn't screw up my system.

Nor does MSN Messenger.

Nor does Yahoo! Messenger.

Nor does ICQ.

Nor does iChat.

Whew!
