RagTime is now available in the free for private use version RagTime Solo for Mac OS X.
In case you don't know it yet, RagTime is a word processor and spread sheet office application with desktop publishing capabilities.

Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

I tried that in their last "free" trial. Not very impressive. Especially compared with other options on the Mac. It is just not terribly polished. (IMO)

Can someone post some screenshots of it in action, please?

It's not a "free" trial, it is free now for private use.
The app is very powerful, but it suffers from some extremely ugly icons and graphics.

It is in theory powerful. It adopts a model of a document more like what KOffice does. The one thing that bugs me is that it really isn't suited for general word processing. It is more akin to FrameMaker with spreadsheet functions built in. Yet it lacks a lot of the polish of FrameMaker (from what I found playing around with the XP version). Still if I didn't have any money it would be a much superior alternative to running Open Office or AbiWord under X11.
I don't think it would cut it for me as a true word processor. It just ends up being too much of a hassle for many things I'd do. For that I prefer MS Word, despite its failings. (And to be honest most of its failings are in UI which RagTime doesn't appear to improve on either)
