I use Chicken of the VNC on my powerbook via airport to connect to OSXvnc server on my desktop G4. It works on all the OSXvnc's up to and including 1.1 but when I try 1.2 or 1.3 I get `connection refused'.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this or how I can debug it ?

What I get is

macmurray[mmurray]% vnc1.3
macmurray[mmurray]% 2003-09-20 20:25:10.794 osxvnc-server[8775] Main Bundle: /Applications/OSXvnc1.3.app
2003-09-20 20:25:10.822 osxvnc-server[8775] UnRegistering Screen Update Notification
2003-09-20 20:25:10.822 osxvnc-server[8775] Started Listener Thread on port 5901
channel 2: open failed: connect failed: Connection refused

The command vnc1.3 runs a shell script which does:

/Applications/OSXvnc1.3.app/osxvnc-server -rfbport 5901 -localhost -desktop title -rfbauth /Users/username/vncpasswd -nevershared&

Thanks - Michael

I just tried this with Chicken built from CVS and OSXvnc 1.3. Worked fine.

In OSXVnc, I'm using display number 0, port 5900. For Display Sharing, I have "Let clients decide".

In Chicken, I'm using Display 0.

Please let me know if you continue to have issues (I'm the maintainer of for Chicken of the VNC).
