Hi everyone,

gaim is GREAT! It's my new favorite aim clone. It's been a while since i had tried it out, but it is the best. (Adium 2 sucks because of the metal thing and the SLOW progress. It doesnt even match Adium 1 yet)

Anyways, it remembers its window position in X11, but everytime I launch gaim, the window gets longer at the bottom, so now the bottom part is somewhere way below my screen, but the top part with all my buddies are where it's suspose to be.


Any ideas?

How would I get Gaim to work in OS X? I've got X11 installed, but do I need Fink, or will it compile under darwin?

i would just use fink so it installs all the other libraries you need. however, i can't figure out how to install the latest version of gaim using fink current. any ideas?

I was thinking of going down the fink route, but was wondering if I could try and get everything working without it, and installing all the dependancies as I go along; seems more trouble than it's worth.

I'm not sure how to solve the problem you're experiencing just now, I'm in the middle of getting it installed too, so I'll keep you updated on how I get on. Have you tried installing the GTK+OS X project?
