Hi everyone!
I am already quite proficient at typing, but I need to stop & look when I type the number keys at the top of the keyboard...as well as other punctuation keys to the right side of the keyboard.
I think with the right software, I'd be *really* good :-)
Anyway, I can remember when I was a kid there used to be games that I could play & and other learn-to-type-fast-kind-of-software that was fun...and after a while I was pretty darn good.
Can someone here recommend any for OS X?
Thanks.

the reviews at version tracker for Master Key all seem to be fairly positive....why not give that a try?

Mr. Blur: Thanks. I've been looking for a good typing-tutor program.

The tactic my keyboarding teacher in high school may work. It sure worked for me with learning the regular keys, though the number keys weren't required.
Get a chart of where the keys are (make one yourself i you need to) on your keyboard. Then find a keyboard you don't need or use as much and paint all the keys black so you can't see what key it is. The natural instinct is to look at your fingers, so even if you do, it'll become second nature that it's pointless. Only place you can look is at that chart, so keep it somehwere on a wall or somewhere at eye level where you can see it, find the key you want to hit and learn where it is by feel.
Practice, practice, practice and take your time and eventually you should get it.

This typing game at yahoo may also help you:
http://games.yahoo.com/games/downloads/tps.html
Don't let the stupid compatibility warning fool you, it's perfectly compatible with Mac OS X 10.2. Makes you wonder how far the bastards go when testing these sites. But otherwise a very helpful and addictive game!
