So we have these nice little avi files shot sideways with out Canon S 330, nice but they need to be rotated 90 degrees. Is there a simple way to do this without FCE or FCP?
Thanks in advance for your kind help.

With Quicktime Pro you can do it. Just select "Get movie properties" from the movie menu then on video track and size you can rotate, flip and re-size. There might also be some free/shareware that can do it.
