I just download iBlog from .Mac and am having problems with it.
I set it up to be at mydomain.com and instead it copies to mydomain.com/somenumber/
Updateok I unchecked copy folder and it fixed it.
Also I am noticing not all the options ar avaliable, only .Mac and Local. I have (or will have this weekend) a dedicasted server and I want to update on the server not my local disk.
Also is there a way to make the extension .php,so I can incorperate into my site tempates? I know you can edit the templates, but I want to use the header for my siteetc.

As this a freebie from .Mac, I think you will find it can only be used locally on on a .Mac account.
Otherwise we would all be giving copies away to people, this way you need a valid .Mac account to use it.
It's a clever idea from Apple, as it is slowly locking people into .Mac, just think of the pain in a few years time if you want to leave .Mac
You would loose, iDisk, eMail adress, iBlog server, Homepage, Backup storage, etc, etc.

I can't get iBlog to work with my iDisk!!!
arrggg.
Anyone in panther who also can't get iBlog to work properly?
edit: I think its my install, my iDisk support on my iMac has been fubared since the WWDC build, and I recently installed the newest leaked build on it, over the WWDC build, so my iDisk is totally messed up (Yes, it was RETARDED to do that ). Prerelease builds you are not sposto have are bad, mmmmkay?
iBlog rocks!

There is nothing to stop you using iBlog with any host as far as I can see. It does work seamlessly with .Mac but you can send your blog to local and distant hosts using WebDav and FTP straight from the program.
It is easy to customise with templates as well, although slightly limited in what you can change.
From my use of it so far I'm very impressed.

from .mac:
Terms and conditions: iBlog 1.3.1 is a special version for .Mac members that publishes directly to .Mac. iBlog 1.3.1 is available free to .Mac members through Nov. 25, 2003.
now i havent tried this version, but from this, it seems that it work with .mac only.

I just tried iBlog for the first time today. It's a nice program. But I was wondering if there were any way to edit what's in the nav bar and the banner. Also more options for customization such as images, backgrounds, etc... Can you do that w/iBlog or do you have use some other app?

there is a very simple fix for getting the .mac iBlog to work with a non .mac site. Use the "preview" function to publish your blog to a folder on your hard drive. Quit iBlog. Use any standard FTP app to upload the published folder.
it's a small pain, but hey, it's free.

You can edit the template directly through iBlog. Find the menu comand "Manage Templates". You can change the color styles similarly through the "Manage Styles" command, but if you want more control you'll have to use an external editor, such as Dreamweaver. Like how I made mine black.
