Virtual PC wants reactivation?

I have VPC 6 XP for tha last five months. Today, I added some software, restarted it and then it says that the "hardware has changed significantly since activation" and needs to br reactivated. What is all this about? It has been on the same iBook running OSX.2.8.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Windows really dies suck. I remember now why I changed

Actually, I think it's your Windows OS that wants the re-activation. This was a new anti-piracy "feature" introduced in the latest edition of Windows. E.g., see this article .
