Seems so simple, so logical. I must be an idiot. Want to burn on windozz xp, mac drive 5 installed, cds with 2 or more mac applications on each cd. to back up my mac software application cds. (currently works to burn my imoive output, webart... works to burn 1 mac application on pc. cd is then put into mac and is all there, cd burned on pc works and installs on mac.)
a. imac dv se 400mhz, osx 10.2.
b. no connection between imac and pc.
c. imac has firewire 400 external HD. pc has input port. Ex HD is formated OS X Entended.
d. pc does read mac original cds from pc cd reader and/or mac external HD. (thus 2 ways to put files on pc.)
e. pc windoz xp, mac drive 5, nero 6 (multidivision)
f. nero completes burning 2 mac apps with no errors given.
g. put this cd in imac but file have no color icons can’t execute/open the installer apps.
h. 99% sure this process works when only 1 app is burned. (i’ve tested and 1 mac app is read and installer starts and completely installs on the mac.
is the problem nero? my options. LEV 1 or LEV2, long file names, iso???, bla bla bla?
or
is the problem mac drive 5?
i heard windoz xp does NOT naturally read mac.

a little more detail:
1. Nero 6 installed. really cool and powerful looking. can do
mulitple sessions (i forget the words exactly) 2 cds burned to
1 cd.
2. got NO ERRORS when burning with Nero 6 as we did with Nero
5.9 'file name.... Ignore or Cancel'
3. all looks well. but when i put the cd in the mac there are
no picture icons (with colors). just blank white type pages
for some. one says 'Microsoft Office Installer.macappl'. i
click it and get a msg from mac, 'There is no default
application specfied to open the document "Microsoft Office
Installer.macappl". (Choose Application) (OK).
if i new which was the mac installer app i guess i could
browse it and execute it to see if it would start the
installer?
4. use Nero 5 or 6 and copy only one mac application to a
cd is ok and works. disk to disk fine. 1 mac app on PC HD to cd fine. MAC External firewire HD 1 app to cd fine.
2 mac apps to cd burn no go.
nero 6 is really cool. we only got package 1.
