I just recently got KnockOut 2 from Corel along with KPT Effects and neither of them show up in Photoshop. I am running OSX, PS7, and installed the carbonized versions of both plugin sets. I've tried moving the plugins around in different folders and it's as though they aren't even there at all. I have other third party plugs that work fine (extensis photoframe and genuine fractals).

I downloaded and installed updates from corel for both plugs, but still no luck. Anyone out there had similar issue/fix?

...installed the carbonized versions...
When I installed KPT Collection plug-ins, there were three choices for the plug-in type to install:
==================
Install compatible with OS 8.6-9.x (Non-Carbon)
Ex: Photoshop 4-6

Install compatible with OS X (Carbon) hosts
Ex: Painter 7

Install Package
Ex: Photoshop 7
==================

I don't know if KO or Effects have the same install options.

For Photoshop 7 on OS X, I chose the LAST one (Package), NOT the carbon one. (For Bryce 5, I chose the carbon install.)

Plugs show up fine in both apps.

Moving them around after installing is probably not a good idea.

They both have the same install options. I chose the carbon only versions as I'll never be using photoshop in os9 again and why install extra stuff when it will never be used. I've messed with it a little since the first post and nothing productive has resulted. I guess I'll try the packaged option...
As far as moving them around, I did so only within the plugin area (i.e. photoshop only, filters, alternate plugins file), and only after it didn't work after installation. In older versions of photoshop some plugins would only work in one specific location, though nothing productive resulted.

did I mention that Corel's help files were absolutely worthless?
