I have the current Safari version and it's running fine on my 1GHz iMac and 10.2.8. It's actually very snappy.

Recently I wanted to save a couple of websites to disk. I noticed that first, Safari doesn't know Cmd-D as a shortcut to switch to the desktop folder and secondly, it lags terribly when saving. Navigating to the right folder is very slow and then a simple 4kB html file takes at least 5 seconds to save.

Since otherwise Safari is very fast for me I was rather amazed by this strange behavior.

Is anybody else experiencing similar behavior? Any fixes? Suggestions? Thanks.

Could this possibly be another 10.2.8 bug? I just did a save on my 500 MHz G3 iMac running 10.2.6 (reverted from 10.2.8 due to DHCP problems), and it was very fast.
