Has anybody run Matlab on a g5? Does anyone know if the current release (R13) will run on a g5?

I haven't tried it, but apparently it does work, even if I couldn't find any mention of the G5 at the system requirements page at Mathworks.

I've just installed Matlab 7 on a 1.25DP G4 and things seem to work.

"Bench", the matlab bechmark shows a performance bar for a 2DP G5, which indicates that 7 should run on a g5...

Matlab 6R13 runs fine on G5s as well. We have a cluster of G5 XServes at work that do just that! The lame thing is that Matlab R13 is not optimized for the G5. One wonders if Matlab 7 is. If anyone has the capabilities to do some comparative tests, I would love to know.
