I'm about to seriously start buying some of the old songs I love from iTMS.

My question is should I download from my old iMac 500 SE or wait to get my new 17" PB?

I want all my music files to be on the PB as I will be using the PB as my main computer.

Is there a way to move my "Purchased Music" files from my old iMac to my new PB?

Move them over involves 3 things:

1. copy songs from old computer to new computer
2. launch iTunes on old computer and go to "Advanced/Deauthorize Computer..."
3. launch iTunes on new computer and it should prompt you that you have purchased songs upon importing your library.

If I am not mistaken you're allowed to authorize up to 3 computers to play the files you download + burn them to cd. So... I'd probably get them now so you can listen to them and then transfer your library once you get your new box!

As far as that goes.. if you ever need to get it onto another machine you can always burn a cd and then re-import the mp3 files...
