Hi,

Does anyone know if there is there a similar app for OSX that does not require classic? This is the ONLY thing that I use classic for, and I'd love to be able to use something else and avoid classic..

thanks,

I wonder if Aquatint comes anywhere near to what you are searching for...

KPT Collection includes Goo.. and a lot more. It's a set of plug-ins though-- not a standalone app.

PhotoShop can do all that.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'd really like a simple stand-alone app, as my young nieces like to play around with it.

I use it for more serious things (making boobies bigger, etc) and don't mind if it is a plug-in so I'll check out KPT.

I've fiddled with the PhotoShop tools, and they seem to have a steepish learning curve and appear cumbersome relatively speaking but I'll look again. I assume you mean liquify.

thanks,

Yeah, it's Liquify. It's way more powerful than GOO.

The learning curve for Liquify isn't that hard, really

Yeah, it's Liquify. It's way more powerful than GOO.

The tool that I miss most is the one that assumes that where you start it is where the image is "normal'. I don't know how to describe it better... it is the tool that looks like 2 concentric circles in SuperGoo. Nothing comparable in PS that I've found.

Also, if you F'up in liquify, you basically have to cancel. Game over, start again. at least with SuperGoo, you can use the repair tool. But maybe I'm just not understanding Liquify yet.

Well if you do have Pshop, you'll really be happy with KPT collection.

$99.00 for all the plugs.

The tool that I miss most is the one that assumes that where you start it is where the image is "normal'.
In Liquify, set Reconstruction to "Revert" mode. Click the Reconstruct button.

Also, if you F'up in liquify, you basically have to cancel. Game over, start again.
In Liquify, as with ALL pshop filters/dialogs, pressing the option key changes the cancel button to a reset button.

I do have Photoshop, so KPT is probably the way to go. Obviously I'm no PS expert...

The tool in SuperGOO I mentioned above is called Gooplicate, and I can't figure out how to do that in Liquify yet.
