Anyone know of an Applescript that allows you to drop an image or images on it and have them added to your iPhoto library without having to open iPhoto and manually import them.

When I am surfing the net I ocasionally download photos I like to the desktop and it would help keep it clean if I could drop these on the Applescript after I am done to have them added to my iPhoto library instead of having to open it which is starting to become painful being the dog that iPhoto is and seeing I have an ever-aging G4 350!!

If it is an Applescript you realize that the Applescript will simply open up iPhoto, right?

In any case go check out http://www.macscripter.net/ which is a nice forum/repository for Applescript. Alternatively do a search of the Applescript mailing list archives at http://digiprint.hldns.com/applescript/ which contains several years worth of a high volume Applescript discussion.

Apple also has a bunch of iPhoto scripts. An Applet that does what you want is at the end of the page:

http://www.apple.com/applescript/iphoto/

Note that you must, if you haven't already, install the optional GUI scripting add in to use this script.
