Hey there,
Is there any software to help in the creation of SonyEricsson T616 Themes? I've checked "VersionTracker" and "MacUpdate" to no avail. Maybe there's something I'm missing... or a tutorial on how to prepare images/color values for composting in some other program (within VirtualPC if need be)?
Thanks in advance,
BD

Hey guys,
I went the VirtualPC route (using "Theme Creator Pro 3G"), and made use of this:
T610 Theme Creation By MO
I'd like to note that I have a T616, and it worked as well. The one thing that I have noticed that's different with every screenshot I've seen online is that my family's three T616s all have a different icon for the "Cingular" (web) function on the Desktop. Instead of the "white page with the Sony Ericsson logo" icon, we have a "red ball with a black arrow shooting out of it" icon.
So, I had to make a new "shadows template" for the desktop on account of the different icon. Here's what I've made:
OSX Jaguar
OSX Jaguar Matching Screensaver
Not that the idea is original... but it's my version. Catch you guys later,
BD

What provider U got ?
I know it's tough to get a good provider that'll work everywhere but at the same time get a cool phone.
I should have gone with Verizon but none of their phones are bluetooth so I didn't. Plus I wanted this phone. (T616).
I'll tell U the truth, I only have one bar at home but somehow it works. And a least on my way to work I don't loose my signal as it used to do with AT&T or Sprint. I live in Culver City (Los Angeles area).
Bluetooth for three reasons... Syncing my address book.. (too cool), using my wireless bluetooth headset and finally transfering games, rings, pictures and themes through bluetooth.. it's a breeze...
Now when verizon comes out with a bluetooth phone, I'll be willing to cancel out of my Cingular contract for $175.
Then we'll be talking.
I didn't quite use the theme shown above. U can easliy find some as nice or nicer OS X ones on this site myT610
Have fun.
Oh and U have 14 days to cancel your account if it doesn't work at home.

I signed up with AT&T. Great deal really, got the T616 for FREE. So I can't complain there, but the lack of service at the house is a major problem for me. I have 30-days to return it, so I guess I'll be saying goodbye to the T616 for now. I know T-Mobile has a T6xx, so if I don't like the Treo 600 - I may give them a shot.
I still have a Treo 300 with Sprint so I will probably stick with it for now and see what the Treo 600 is like. I understand a third party solution for Bluetooth is in the works for the 600, which would probably make me happy.
T616 is a very cool phone, so small yet packed with features. I do wish there were a way to sync notes off my Mac to the phone, then I could replace 90% of what I do with my Treo.

PhoneAgent is a T610/T616 theme editor for OSX. Its $30 to anything useful with it but its an option.
You should take a look at Salling Clicker. I paid the $10 for it the day i got my bluetooth dongle.

thanks for the link to Phone Agent, i had googled for about an hour and that never came up once as a theme creator. I downloaded it and have created a theme, but $30 is just a ridiculous fee to charge for a theme creator (they say the economy is getting better, but i'm not personally at the burning money stage) and so i haven't been able to save it, nor will i be able to. they do let me 'export' it which creates a XML file called 'theme.xml' and resaves my pics as 7 JPEGS with the proper names, but i am unable to package them properly so they will actually work on the phone. does anyone out there have a Wintel machine (i won't tell anyone) or Virtual PC who could download this free app ( ThemeCreatorPro ) and convert my files to a packaged functional version? pretty please?
yeah, Salling Clicker is awesome, i paid for mine today and my dongle hasn't even come yet, but it clearly is worth the $$ unlike the seemingly redundant Phone Agent, whose feature seem primarily to do things that are automatically included in Panther or SE software, except for the theme creator, which of course isn't worth $30 by itself. I would probably pay $5 for it, but nothing more. Hopefully someone will make a shareware or freeware version of it.

every time ive heard this program mentioned ive heard "too expensive" after it. Quite clearly they're missing out on a huge hole in the market where they could strip the crap no one cares about out of this app leaving only the theme editor (heck not even theme uploader who needs that) then sell it for like $15, bargain!

I can't find a theme that looks as nice as yours. Could I maybe get a copy of it?
