FCP 4.02 problem with "Preflight" error msg?

When clicking on one of the Final Cut pro 4.02 update packages I get the following error msg:

"The Preflight script was either not excutable or not readable".

The installer will not run. Any ideas on what is up deeply appreciated.

OSX 10.2.8 on PowerMac G4 800.

Did you unstuff the installer with Stuffit 8.0?

I bet you did.

Go here for an explanation/temporary fix.
