This has been happening since I installed 10.2.4 on this Dual 1.42 G4 (i.e. I've never got it to work), and as such there is no actuall mail in "mail".
I cannot update OSX as this G4 is running Avid media composer, although I have deleted the Mbox, lots of assorted Plists & prefs, and even reinstalled both apps using pacifist, nothings worked.
Although I have created another user, and everything works fine in this new user, everythings caput in the old user still.
