I don't know about a new Mac because I haven't gotten one recently, but in Panther, it's all Safari.

Given that Apple makes Safari, Apple hates IE, Apple hates M$ which is why they made Safari and the Safari is no longer beta, I'd say it's more of a 'stupid question' rather then a 'quick question'.
