Has anyone found any applications to RIP DVDs in Panther? Since installing Panther 7B85 on a 2nd drive I can no longer rip DVDs. The two software packages I've tried, 0SEx and DVDBackup both refuse to launch in Panther. When booted off the Jaguar drive they both work as expected.

Under Panther, both show up in the dock for a few miliseconds and then disappear with no error message. Not even one bounce! I know the apps are not damaged as they work fine in Jaguar, and I have repaired permissions, etc...

i must be an idiot, I have been working on this for a few hours and I must have had something else going on. I just downloaded both apps and now they work fine.

Not panther related, just random wierdness on this machine.

I guess u didnt see the panther support threads will be locked sticky

On a related note, why do people insist on assuming that an app is now no longer a valid solution because it doesn't work on your pirated beta OS?

Maybe you could give the OS a chance to be RELEASED, before you expect the developer to fix a problem?

Because 1. a developer would know better than to be asking for support for an unreleased OS, specially with those NDAs and all.
