Is there anyway to make ISO images using disk copy or perhaps another program or method in OS X?
I've tried several combinations in disk copy, but they always burn as a .dmg file.

How?
I know Toast will do it if you already have the ISO image and just want to burn it.
But, I want to make the actual ISO and save it to be used again, placed on the internet for download, etc...

In the Toast main window, select .iso as the file format you want to burn the disc as. Drag all the files you're wanting to include in the .iso.
Instead of clicking 'burn', choose 'Save As Disk Image...' from the file menu. Toast will default to 'untitled.toast'. Just change the extension to .iso and your file will be saved.
It's been awhile since I've done it but I was able to create an .iso with Toast 6 and open it with my Win 2K box just a few minutes ago. The files seemed to come thru just fine.

I use command line program `mkisofs'
You can make all kinds of .iso file, including in DVD format.

You can make .iso in disk copy. When making a new image, just select the DVD/CD Master image format. It will make a file with .cdr.dmg extension. Then just change that to .iso (it's the exact same format).
