Has anyone seen or heard of a non-APE version of Minimize In Place that might function on Panther?

Yes, I know about Expose, but am looking for something more akin to MIP.

Any developers working along these lines?

If you're looking for MIP its going to have to be APE or APE-like functionality. No way to do this without runtime patches.

Yep, unless you're Apple, and you can compile it into the Window Server (as they did for Exposé)

I don't know if this requires APE or not. But it is one someone mentioned over at ARS.
