I have made the move from Palm Desktop to the system apps: Address Book and iCal. I like the concept of iSync.

I would like to know how people have managed their Memos/Notes stored in Palm Desktop.

To get these to iSync, you could kind-of save them as ToDo items, or maybe as a note to an appointment.

One option might have been to have all your memos stored as notes for event on a memorable date like 1.1.03 or something.

So, has anyone got any tricks which they can share with me.

Thanks.

If you move to iCal and Address Book, the iSync software still synchs your notes/memos to your Palm PDA from Palm Desktop.

It's a pity that iCal doesn't have its own Notes feature, as I find the Notes part of Palm Desktop quite awkward to use.

Thanks for that Andrew. I think I knew this...but it means continue to use Palm Desktop. Perhaps illogically, I was hoping to avoid its use in the future.

Sadly, you need to keep your Palm Desktop just for Memos.

It is one thing that Apple dropped the ball on.

Why give us 3/4 of the replacement. Why not all of it?

It could be built into iCal with no issues.

Don't send it there. Calendar apps aren't necessairily for notes. A much better idea would be Stickies. Thus Mac OS X feedback instead.
P.S. I know Apple will probably never do this, but how about iSticky or iNote? It could have note categories, note searching, iTunes-like interface, and, of course, Palm syncing.
