Hi,
A simple question, can I copy my install of Photshop7 and Illustrator 10 to CD, ie drag, drop and burn from the applications folder in Jag?
The reason I ask this is I don't want to install classic/os9 which I would have to do because my disks for these apps are upgrade disks that means I would need a previous install of the 'classic' version to be present on the machine.
Just preparing my stratergy for the arrival of Panther
Thanks in advance.

i think the only other things that get installed are in library/application support and in your 'user' library/application support. Take those out too, and it should be fine.

IIRC, the Adobe upgrade CDs also permit you to only enter the serial numbers of your previous full versions, if you don't have them installed on your computer: so you shouldn't need Classic, anyway, as you should be able to use exclusively the OS X-enabled upgrade CDs.

I you do not have Classic installed, the Photoshop and Illustrator installers will comment that there will only be an OS X install and if you want to use the apps with Classic install, you will have to install again.
If you try the drag and drop method, make sure you included the appropriate folder inside ?Library/Application Support/Adobe and ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe. You need to copy apporpriate files from your Home Library Preferences folder as well.
