If anyone's looked at AOL Instant Messenger for Windows, you'll notice that there is that long-forgotten "Talk" feature. Can we say "iChat AV to AIM"? Related to this is the indication provided by Mac OS Rumors a while ago that the FCC recently lifted restrictions on the AIM network that would allow webcam implimentation. I'd put a link with this but Mac OS Rumors no longer has archives.

So far, unless there is in Panther's iChat AV (I don't have Panther ), I haven't seen any indication of integration between iChat AV's audio chat function and AOL Instant Messenger's Talk feature.

If you recall, this Talk feature was in the last OS 9 only version of AIM. It was dropped when OS X compatible AIM was released. It still remains in the Windows version of AIM.

As another side note to this, Apple notes that iChat AV has obviously been "Improved in Panther", according to their Mac OS Feature Comparison page. Any ideas of what's been improved on, besides stability and reliability?

Off topic but interestingly none of the mentioned OS' support "PPTP based VPN client" (don't know what that is). So why is it even in that list?
Nasrudin sat on a river bank when someone shouted to him from the opposite side: "Hey! how do I get across?" "You are across!" Nasrudin shouted back.

It says it's supported in both Panther and Jaguar when I visit the link.
