I have a Pismo 400 and am pretty excited that panther may speed things up. But my biggest slow down is office- it really slows browsing down and if I have Itunes on, my system is plain sluggish. Will panther be able to run this version of office and speed office up also (switching between windows)? Any experiences?

Office works just fine in Panther. And yes it is faster (particularly PowerPoint which was really slow on my PowerBook G4 1GHz). If you're interested, the speed increases in Panther are in two categories. The first is the simple speed in clicking buttons, menus, switching windows. This has been really improved. But the most annoying kind of slow down is where once you go to an app (like the Finder), it completely slows to a crawl, you get the beachball and it's completely unresponsive. That's the kind of bug that's really annoying. Panther really alleviates that problem. In other words: it should be fine
