I just installed a fresh copy of OS X over my previous system. I chose the archive and install method of installation and now my iChat seems to be messed up. Whenever I launch it and try to compose a new message it sends me an error:

iChat Internal Error
NSInternalInconsistencyException:
Chat is not in compose mode anymore

I have no idea what this means or why it happened. iChat was working fine before. I tried to delete my prefs as well to see if that would help and it did not. Does anyone know what is going on? Any help is appreciated...

My problem is that I can't access my buddy list from the Menu. I have to bring it up through the dock.

Before I could access both the Buddy List and start a new chat through the Menu. Now it just chimes every time I click on it.
