Ok... it's got the date right, but what's with the month? Is this some weird language? My international settings are set for English. Me confused!

I think this error is related to having an extra "Helvetica Neue" font installed. Maybe in your user folder.

Helvetica Neue is bundled with Mac OS X, and it seems that some evil app install an extra one that confuses iCal (let me guess... a Microsoft app maybe?).

not an evil app! probably a REAL version of Helvetica Neue (Adobe or another font company) is installed. I've had this bug since iCal 1.0 and apple still hasnt fixed it.

I still rather give up the "month" than give up my Helvetica Neue. But, i never have my dock's magnification turned on, so i could care less.

But if you just want iCal looking correct.. uninstall that version of Helvetica Neue (the Adobe one, not the OSX one)

So it wasn't Microsoft but Adobe. I said evil, ya know

Why the two Helvetica Neue cause such problems but other fonts when duplicated don't...

STFU! Keep it to yourself.
Microsoft commisioned Mathew Carter to design both Trebuchet and Verdana....

Two of the best screen fonts available for web designers.
